We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization through meticulous record-keeping and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts regularly.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Stay updated on industry changes and regulations to ensure compliance.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
Cost Control:
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Payroll Processing:
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and issues.
System and Process Improvement:
Utilize accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and implement best practices and process improvements for accounting operations.
